A new advertising industry microsite has been launched on October 11th 2011 at thegoodpitch.com by the UK advertisers association (ISBA) and the UK advertising agencies association (IPA) to showcase new pitch practices and to encourage debate and discussion on pitching.

Finns launch iPad application

On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the Association of Finnish Advertisers (Mainostajien Liitto) launched an iPad application as well as a website for “Mainosmuseo”, meaning “Ad Museum”.

Young Philippines win top prize at Cannes, PANA holds “children's forum”

A team from the Philippines has won the top prize at the second 2011 Cannes Lions Young Marketers. A team representing the local association and consisting of Justine Ferrer and Angeline Go from Del Monte won gold for their take on designing a product where 100% of proceeds go to charity.

Spanish hold 13th edition of “Effie Awards”

The 13th edition of the Spanish Effie (“Effectiveness”) Awards gala took place on October 27th in Madrid. The event is one of the most popular events organised by the Spanish Advertisers Association (aea), with nearly 2000 participants. This year, 82 campaigns were shortlisted from 147 entries, with the selection criteria including innovation, ROI, measurement, and level of complexity.
