A briefing session on China’s new Personal Information Protection Law

, , ,

Join us on 28 September at 10am Brussels / 4pm Singapore for a briefing session on China’s new Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), which enters into force on 1 November 2021. This law, which has been compared to the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation because of its strict approach to privacy, introduces a number of key changes that could have a significant impact on global companies that process the personal data of Chinese residents.

In this session, hosted by WFA’s Digital Governance Exchange (DGX), guest speakers Yuet Ming Tham, Shumin Ho, Zha De and Margaret Huang from Sidley Austin LLP will give an overview of the PIPL and lead a discussion about what the proposed changes will mean for global advertisers.
