About the Role:
Are you ready to craft compelling media strategies that make iconic brands shine? As the Canada Media Manager at Ferrero, you’ll be the responsible, at Country Level, of Media guidelines definition and implementation. You'll lead the charge of allocating yearly Media Planning resource at the local level in total accordance with Marketing Managers. As the Canada Media Manager, you'll oversee the overall media activities and projects for Canada, in accordance with Group/Area Media Procurement standards and frameworks. You'll also periodically monitor and report campaign results, along with agency performance. Additionally, you'll lead media budget management, agency invoicing, and ensure timely invoicing and payments reconciliation.
This role is hybrid and based in our North York office.
Main Responsibilities:
MEDIA GUIDELINES DEFINITION
- Defines Media guidelines and strategies for Canada by category, according to local Brand strategy defined by Canada Marketing Leads and local priorities identified by Area Media Manager, in total alignment with the Area Media guidelines
- Ensures Local Media guidelines implementation
- Briefs the Local Media strategy according to the Tender/No-Tender Group guidelines
- Ensures the respect and alignment between local Media guidelines and Media Procurement & Governance frameworks and standards defined by the Group
- Updates periodically Area Media Manager on Media topics (both Traditional and Digital)
- Identifies and shares best practices (collected also from the Group) and innovative ideas which could be replicated for the Media Categories across country
- Implements the Area Media guidelines and provides any potential comments and feedbacks
- Leads media projects development at local level also driving media agencies in media projects development
MEDIA PLANNING
- Leads Annual & Seasonal Media planning process working with Area Media Manager, Managing Director, and Marketing; Plans against key milestones - briefing to agency, strategy & plan delivery, plan approval by Area, MPA approvals, PO issuance, and campaign bookings
- Defines the local Media Budget (including the split by Media channels) in total accordance with the Canada Marketing and Managing Director based on local business goals
- Ensures the respect of standards and guidelines defined by Group/Area Media Procurement responsible in the definition of yearly Media planning
- Defines the local Media mix & plan, guaranteeing full coherency with Area media priorities and business needs in line with Group/Area Media Procurement standards
- Proposes Ecomm strategy in collaboration with local Ecomm and Marketing
MEDIA SUPERVISION & SUPPORT
- Supervises and reviews Media campaign results in alignment with Area Media Manager, Managing Director, and Marketing, ensuring that Media rules and framework are fully respected and implemented
- Supervises media agencies in developing media projects/campaigns at local level
- Ensures all media activities comply with Canadian advertising standards and local regulations
BUDGET MANAGEMENT, MONITORING AND REPORTING
- Leads media budget management, agency invoicing, and ensures timely invoicing and payments reconciliation
- Leads Purchase Order reconciliation with media agency in line with approved marketing plans, and manages processing and clearing of all media invoices
- Monitors KPIs and provides feedbacks to Managing Director and Area Media Manager for media activations
- In total alignment with Group/Area Media Procurement standards and rules executes post tracking audit analysis
- Updates periodically Canada Marketing Leads on Media Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and vice versa receives updates on Marketing KPIs
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Excellent media knowledge including digital environment (knowledge of Digital Media Communication, Social Media Marketing, Ecomm and Content marketing) and ability to transfer this knowledge into Ferrero brand support strategy
- Compliance Knowledge: familiarity with Canadian compliance to ensure all media activities comply with Canadian advertising standards and local regulations
- Flexible and open-minded to understand Ferrero culture and ways of working
- Fluent in English
