About the job

The Category Procurement Manager R&D and Qa/QC creates the key category strategies to maximize value for the company and to generate value from supplier relationships. You will be responsible for the Research and Development, Quality Control and Quality Assurance category, which is a broad network containing a diverse set of stakeholders at different levels and departments, covering a spend of 150M Euro Yearly. What We Ask

• At least 5 years of experience in a strategic procurement position with focus on procurement in complex and challenging environments
• University degree or postgraduate qualification
• Passionate in driving winning, value-creating procurement strategies
• Change management experience, or at least strong change management mindset and lead with rigor
• High drive, entrepreneurial mindset and ambition to make things work
• Ability to manage upwards senior stakeholders and influence effectively
• Excellent relation builder, both externally and internally
• Able to understand and use complex evaluations and financial concepts
• Self-supporting and at the same time team-player in multiple teams
• Motivated, proactive & result driven
• Capable to identify value creating opportunities
• Positive mindset & perseverance
• Effective and engaging communication style
• Experience in leading complex negotiations

Vacancy Description

• Demand Management: Creates models for demand management and continuously improves them. Engage the business to optimize business demand and develop strategic demand plan for R&D and QAQC.
• Category strategy development: create business-focused procurement strategies that fit business needs. Drive and implement successful integrated sourcing strategies, aligning business goals and customer requirements with supply market capabilities
• Strategic Sourcing and Sourcing Management: Defines and aligns the sourcing pipeline, workplan and project scope. Co-leads the team in priority setting and deployment of resources.
• Supplier Management: responsible for multiple supplier relationships and drives SRM in own area.
• Project Implementation: lead projects with rigor and strong alignment, ensures timely planning and execution.
• Quality & Risk Management: represent BG in some of the quality and risk boards and ensures contingency plans are in place.
• Contract Management: lead the implementation, creation, finalization and performance of contracts
• Stakeholder Management: actively aligns with senior stakeholders on strategy, priorities and the allocation of resources. Ensure to build and maintain good relationships at both tactical and strategic level and seek approval on strategies, roadmaps and program management activitie
