DescriptionThe Director of Sustainability is responsible for spearheading initiatives aimed at reducing the organization's carbon footprint and minimizing its environmental impact. You will focus on developing and implementing strategies to enhance environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and overall environmental responsibility. In addition to working cross-functionally with departments across the US organization, you will work with our Austrian Sustainability team to develop and refine the US sustainability strategy and ensure that this aligns with the company’s global sustainability priorities.

SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY
Develop and drive sustainability strategies across Red Bull North America. Partner with Global and local stakeholders to research, develop, and implement sustainability programs and procedures.
Led the refinement of the company’s carbon footprint data collection and reporting Act as subject matter expert on environmental and social sustainability within Red Bull North America and advise and aligned with the Global Sustainability team
Create appropriate sustainability targets and develop key tools, systems, and reporting to ensure targets are met Represent and communicate the sustainability strategy to senior leadership functions and drive integration and accountability in other functions throughout the organization.
Partner with the Red Bull Regulatory team to review both our domestic sustainability regulatory requirements and inform local and Global stakeholders.
Work with cross-functional teams to address gaps in current procedures relative to upcoming legislation.
Manage data collection of sustainability metrics and report to internal and external stakeholders including global counterparts, senior leadership, regulatory bodies, and retail partners Lead reporting and analysis of the company’s carbon footprint and report data, findings, and key actions to US and global stakeholders Build interdepartmental relationships to influence both internal and external stakeholders on the importance of Sustainability initiatives
Build a network to understand common Sustainability challenges internally and across our industry to enable proactive positioning and strategy development
Build a process to respond to inquiries from internal and external teams regarding Red Bull sustainability practices.
Special focus on customer requests Advise on legal requirements for sustainability in place and help prepare for requirements to go into effect in the near future
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and developing team members and managing performance Foster collaborative and engaged relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners Adapt team structure and resources to help evolve the sustainability and carbon reporting organization, tools, and processes Foster and develop strong partner relationships with outside service providers and internal partners and stakeholders
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
That matters most for this role:
At least 10 years of experience in direct leadership or cross-functional team leadership.
At least 5-10 years experience managing sustainability initiatives and projects.
Experience establishing sustainability partnerships with vendors, NGO's and industry organizations
Experience establishing & and maintaining cross-functional relationships with individuals at various levels of an organization including peers, department heads, and senior leadership, ideally within a global organization
Experience analyzing complex problems and developing, recommending, and implementing solutions to resolve such problems
Extensive subject matter knowledge and expertise of environmental and social sustainability policies, processes, and technology focused on food/beverage industries.
Experience working with facilities, events, supply chain, and logistics sustainability efforts.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding sustainability requirements
The base salary range for this position is $121,695 to $134,505 + cash incentives
