Senior Data Analytics Manager

DescriptionThe Senior Data Analytics Manager leads the implementation of processes for how data is produced and consumed by the data analytics team, including governance, architecture, and quality, in order to meet evolving business objectives and technology landscapes.

The Senior Data Analytics Manager assembles and coordinates technology, and processes necessary to address the current and future analytics needs of the business area they support. Plays an active supporting role in the definition and execution of all processes regarding analytics roles across the company.

B. Responsible

Create physical data models that can be operationalized within the company’s workflows and infrastructure to ensure data solutions meet business requirements
Build a strong team within their area, by mentoring and developing managers as well as top technical talents.
Play an instrumental role in evolving and designing new applications of data science and analytics to business problems
Bring vision and strategy to improve efficiency in the way analytics and data science teams work
Map data flows between systems and workflows across the company to drive efficiency and ensure accurate controls
Support the segmentation of data assets into sustainable and business-enabling domains by applying domain-driven design and enterprise architecture standard methodologies (e.g. TOGAF)
Support the implementation of efficient data ingestion solutions, batch processing, and event-based streams to enable real-time actions and rapid business decisions
Connect datasets from different systems into a unified solution to deliver high-value data
Supervise relevant SLIs and SLOs to support ownership of data solutions end-to-end
Ensure the full integrity of data by driving adherence to all data protection standards and continuously monitoring their success
Define quality requirements for data domains and data assets, based on standards for all data quality dimensions, to ensure design of high-quality data solutions
Develop solutions for validating values and schemas to ensure data accuracy and reliability
Develop approaches for monitoring, failure detection, and data availability to ensure data timeliness and completeness
Collaborate with stakeholders in designing data definitions against specific business uses with alignment to all data protection standards to ensure data precision and integrity
Write readable and reusable code by applying standard patterns and using standard libraries
Ensure data reliability by developing and implementing validation against structural requirements
Ensure data timeliness based on business requirements by driving strategy and implementation of monitoring and failure detection
Ensure completeness of data by identifying critical elements and filling gaps before making data available
Ensure the precision of data by working with various stakeholders to define data definitions against their specific business applications and continuously supervise their performance


B. Skilled

5-8 years of professional experience in similar role, including min. 2 years of managerial experience
Experience in Finance/Treasury/Payment or Banking area is a strong asset
Bachelor's Degree
Experienced in data modeling methods (Relational, Dimensional)
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, e.g. TOGAF
Knowledge of data quality requirements and implementation methodologies
Familiarity with Data Management requirements based on best practices, e.g. DAMADMBOK
Strong stakeholders management skills, ability to manage C-level relationship
Knowledge of one or more database querying languages or scripting tools, e.g. SQL, Python (including Pandas)
Knowledge of IT governance frameworks, e.g. COBIT 5
