Summary Of Position

Global Digital Manager, Burberry Beauty

The ideal candidate will partner with the Director to plan and administer the overall direction for global digital marketing strategies and activities that will be executed across all markets, with a strong focus on China market. You will be a key digital marketing leader focused on building our brand awareness, affinity, and performance through digital and social channels, eCommerce and content marketing.

Working closely with the Fashion House, you will conceptualize, develop, and deliver holistic toolboxes for all touchpoints part of the digital ecosystem (digital media, eCommerce, social, digital in-store, CRM, email, ad-hoc digital experiences).

Job Responsibilities

Digital and social media strategies

- Responsible for defining, leading, and implementing the 360 digital marketing strategies for new fragrance/makeup product launches and KCPs
- Create best in class toolkits, supporting markets’ local needs, inclusive of social organic & paid, digital media, eRetail content & templates, as well as appropriate ad-hoc creative content, features, and digital experiences
- Define content strategy for the brand and work closely with Fashion House to deliver meaningful content to nourish the consumer experience on all touch points: campaigns, .com, CRM, services, and e-commerce programs across launches, KCPs, and other brand moments
- Optimize paid and unpaid brand content across all digital channels in close partnerships with markets and the Fashion House
- Liaise with the Fashion House on new owned social channel opening and conversational calendars across existing owned social media channels (Western and Asian channels)
- Analyze trends, insights, markets feedbacks to identify relevant opportunities for the brand, and educate Fashion House on best practices

eCommerce and social commerce acceleration

- Work in close collaboration with Global/Local eCommerce teams and the Fashion House to deliver best-in-class eCommerce toolboxes for the brand across all initiatives
- Improve permanent visibility on all eRetailer touchpoints via toolboxes/guidelines creation and continuous eRetailer audits
- Provide strategic guidance and execution to bring new conversion enablers to life across the social media user journey
- Launch new selling channels on social media while advising and implementing best-in-class launch strategies to drive traffic to the channel (e.g. Douyin commerce, Kakaotalk gift)
- Identify opportunities, develop new strategies, propose new support models, and initiate new technologies to increase conversion on third-party retailers (e.g. VTO, AR,…)
- Track & analyze performance, suggesting opportunities for the brand

CRM & Loyalty

- In collaboration with CRM manager/agency, plays an active role in the formation of Global and Local CRM strategies encouraging consumers data capture, retention, upsell, and loyalty, promoting Burberry Beauty, our services, and new products
- Oversees creative execution of campaigns: responsible for CRM asset creation deliveries, provides expert guidance and feedback on email design, messaging, user journeys and user experience, in addition to supervising front-end integration with third-party providers
- Work closely with the CRM manager to report on the campaigns and post-activity analysis
- Develop competitors’ analysis and maintains a strong knowledge and understanding of the current and emerging direct marketing strategies, trends, and techniques that consistently give the business a lead in consumer acquisition and retention within the market
- Close collaboration with regional markets to launch new platforms enabling clienteling and CRM experiences (e.g. Wechat CRM)

Project Management:

- Works cross-functionally with fragrance/makeup product teams and key local markets to assess campaign assets needs and assist during campaign’s implementation at local level
- Key point of contact for markets, Fashion House, and third-party agencies
- Ongoing digital education such as best practices, global guidelines, best-in-class processes, etc

Job Requirements / Ideal Candidate Profile

- Minimum of 8-10 years digital marketing experience in a fast-paced environment
- Be highly organized with strong project management skills required; ability to prioritize work with a sense of urgency/ownership and meet deadlines
- Strategic thinker with an ability to dissect problems and with excellent problem solving-skills
- Digital savvy – must have excellent understanding of digital projects development life cycle from creative concept through delivery
- Previous experience and understanding of Chinese eCommerce and CRM ecosystems required (Tmall, WeChat, Red, Douyin…)
- Experience in direct-to-consumer and/or direct-to-retailer CRM, data enrichment, preferably in the luxury/beauty industry required
- Accustomed to work cross-functionally, with a lot of internal and external partners
- Skilled in written/verbal presentation
- Fluent in English, with previous international experience/exposure
- Current on emerging trends and technologies and passionate about the digitally driven consumer decision journey
- Background in the beauty/luxury industry is not a mandatory, but you should be able to showcase your eye for beauty, aesthetics, and design
