DescriptionThe Coca-Cola Company is building a networked global organization across more than 200 countries, combining the power of scale and deep local knowledge to win everywhere. A critical component of this networked organization is the creation of a new Platform Services unit to act as the new backbone of our operating structure by providing a network of globally scaled services.

Marketing & PACS Platform Services is one of the critical service hubs. This role is on the Media Planning and Operations Services group, which will own the implementation and operationalization of the Company’s global media chassis that will enable a progressive central media management discipline, manage existing global ad technology partnerships (DMP, Ad Server, Demand Side Platforms, 3rd Party Verification, etc.) and identifying new solutions specific to Operating Units’ business needs.



This Position

The Media Planning and Operations Services group is seeking a talented Ad Ops leader who will be responsible for building a future-oriented global media and ad operations discipline for The Coca-Cola Company. This role will look after a team that will design, maintain, and continuously improve the process, tools, capabilities, and best practices we use to facilitate media tactics into action while ensuring the integrity of all the data generated by online and offline media activity.

S/he will work with agencies, operating units, and key global stakeholders throughout Platform Services to design and consistently apply the tools, taxonomy & tracking standards, Go-live Q/A processes, and measurement & optimization cadences that will enable the progressive management of media investments to achieve business and campaign objectives.





What You Will Do:

Build, mentor, and lead a media performance & ad-ops team and center of excellence

Design and implement new ways-of-working and tools required to deliver and globally scaled media management and ad-ops services to operating units.

Govern the application of tools, technology, taxonomy, tagging, and tracking standards to enable the progressive management of media performance against desired outcomes.

Provide thought leadership and points-of-view on key industry initiatives and new solutions that may affect the execution, performance, and measurement of campaigns

Deliver media performance and recommendations for optimizing creative and media elements (e.g., pace strategies, creative rotation, geography, time zone, day part optimizations) to drive improved effectiveness and efficiency of media investments.


Qualifications & Requirements:



Functional Skills:

Team Leadership: This is a leadership role with direct reports. Individual is expected to act as role model of Company’s growth behaviors and mindset; set the vision and agenda for the team; build and develop talent.

Digital Media & Analytics Acumen: Technical knowledge of ad serving and buying platforms is required. Must be knowledgeable in the trafficking of Rich Media, VAST, VPAID, and Dynamic Creative. Should also be familiar with tag management and website analytics tools.

Finds Clarity in the Ambiguous: There is no pre-existing playbook for this team or function within The Company. Must be comfortable not having all the answers to make a decision and creating new ways of working with internal and external stakeholders.

Global/Cultural Knowledge: Knowledge of cultural and industry nuances in different regions or countries that might impact or limit the effectiveness of media strategies

Independent Point of View: Knowledge of the external environment in which the Company's business is conducted. Includes ability to offer a broad perspective that extends beyond a particular functional discipline and draw upon knowledge that comes from frequent interaction with different departments, employees and sources and constituencies outside of the Company.

Network/Resources: Ability to develop diverse network/resources to leverage "best in class" knowledge, approaches and processes.

Communication: Ability to simplify and persuasively communicate highly technical concepts to non-experts and cross-functional business stakeholders.

Vendor Management: The ability to evaluate and ensure that vendor performance meets or exceeds defined performance standards and adheres to overall company policies and procedures.

Process Design & Implementation: Experience in the design and streamlining of ad-operation processes for effectiveness and efficiency, detail orientation to document process flows and diagnose/remedy challenges.



Related Work Experience: 7-10 years of experience working in the digital media space, with 3+ years in a leadership role in Ad Operations. Demonstrated experience managing and building teams.

Needs to have experience working across teams and geographies in a complex, global media environment leading or leveraging teams of internal and external resources. Experience in a global role preferred. Ideally has had a mix of experiences at Agency, Vendor, and Client-side ad-ops roles.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree; relevant industry credentials or certifications (e.g., IAB Digital Ad Ops Certification; Campaign Manager Certification)
