WFA Policy Action Group (PAG) brings together policy, regulatory and governmental affairs leads from WFA corporate and national association members to address regulatory topics related to marketing communications.

Join the Group

Through PAG, WFA coordinates advocacy efforts, develops common positions on regulatory and policy challenges affecting advertising and marketing, and engages with policymakers and global institutions to champion a proportionate and fair marketing ecosystem which balances the needs of brands and consumers.

    In March 2023, the European Commission — the EU’s executive body — published a proposal for a Directive on substantiation and communication of explicit environmental claims (Green Claims directive). The proposal is part of the Commission’s 2020 New Circular Economy Action Plan under the umbrella of its European Green Deal policy, which aims for the EU to be climate neutral by 2050.
