Spotlight: Escaping the performance trap – rethinking growth in an age of short-term accountability

This session follows a conversation with James Hurman led by our Asia Advisory Board earlier this year, and a recent spotlight on Future Demand: balancing brand and performance.

Led by Edward Bell at Cathay, this online session advances the discussion to explore what it takes for marketing leaders to escape the performance trap - from the organisational pressures driving short-term decision-making, to the changes in measurement, incentives and decision-making needed to break the cycle.

Together with researcher and entrepreneur James Hurman and Deepak Chandran from Google, join us for a leadership conversation on what marketing leaders may do differently to build the case for long-term investment, and protect the sources of growth that are hardest to measure.

Participate in a roundtable under the Chatham House Rule, alongside a small group of senior leaders from the WFA network.

Speakers:

  • Edward Bell, General Manager, Brand Insights & Marketing Communications, Cathay
  • James Hurman, Author of Future Demand and Founder & Chair, Previously Unavailable
  • Deepak Chandran, Head of Ads Research and Marketing Effectiveness, Google APAC
