Premium Sourcing Forum - About

Boasting over a 1200 marketing sourcing contacts around the world, the Sourcing Forum has been referred to as a group of “enlightened marketing procurement specialists”.

The impact of Covid-19 has led to a strange time for organizations and especially those involved in budget planning. Most brands are currently reviewing and planning their marketing and media investments for the upcoming months or year to come. Marketers have been using various ways to define and allocate budgets, including ‘golden ratios’ such as working (consumer facing activities) v non-working (output creation) ratios, with often the ambition to reduce their spending in ‘non-working’ dollars.

In today’s world where we are seeing paradigm shifts almost every day, how is a marketer supposed to develop a marketing budget for 2021 and maybe even a year beyond? Is it still relevant to rely on working v non-working spend ratios? Are there alternatives to successfully drive marketing investment decisions that ‘work’ irrespective of how they are categorized?

This session will give ∿15 WFA peers the chance to come together to tackle common challenges and identify potential solutions, in a ‘warts-an-all’ format under the Chatham House Rule.
