A Marketer's Approach to Diversity and Inclusion
WFA's Marketer Approach to Diversity and Inclusion
In 2018, WFA released A Guide to Progressive Gender Portrayals in Advertising, detailing how brands can combat harmful gender stereotypes in their creative. As the natural extension of that work, we must continue thinking beyond gender to encapsulate all forms of diversity.
This 2020 guide, A marketer's approach to diversity and inclusion, showcases some outstanding examples of work, as well as offering practical advice on how you can channel diversity both across your creative and in your company more generally.
Embrace the breadth and nuance of this issue and you will be able to authentically connect with your audiences while shining a light on inspiring people and the stories around us that are often overlooked. - Belinda Smith, WFA Global Diversity Ambassador
