Representation matters - The Audience Representation Index

Made in collaboration with Accenture, Ipsos, and Nielsen; the report benchmarks representation, diversity and inclusion in Film and TV, gaming, sport, and news and magazines. It measures diversity and inclusion by looking a different identity attributes such as gender, race and ethnicity, sexual identity and representation, age, and disability status across the United States, United Kingdom and France.

The report, through the development of a score index that allows to make a quantitative cross-sectopr comparison, found out that audiences still expect more nuanced, fairer portrayals that they recognize, more efforts to build community and drive a dialogue on diversity and inclusion. However, the date shows that progress and concerted action are not going unnoticed or unrewarded.
