Fraudulent advertising is becoming an increasingly important challenge for brands, consumers and policymakers. Scam ads, brand impersonation and counterfeit promotions undermine trust in digital advertising and can damage both consumers and legitimate businesses.
As governments and regulators pay greater attention to these issues, questions are increasingly being asked about the role platforms play in preventing fraudulent actors from accessing advertising systems and how advertiser verification can help strengthen trust across the ecosystem.
Meta will share its approach to tackling fraudulent advertising, including the measures it has introduced to detect scams, verify advertisers and strengthen trust across its advertising ecosystem. The discussion will explore the role platforms can play in preventing fraud and protecting consumers while maintaining safe and effective advertising environments.
