At the beginning of the month, the Association of Italian Advertisers (UPA) and the other main actors operating in the Italian digital market (DMA Italia, Fedoweb, IAB Italia, Netcomm) introduced the "cookie implementation toolkit" to the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

The toolkit is designed to help companies in the implementation of the new rules on cookies, due to come into force on June 3rd.

The toolkit sets some examples of short- and long-form information notice with some suggested wording, in accordance with the two-layer approach set out by the Italian Data Protection Authority. It also sets some practical alternatives on how to manage users' consent and related obligations.
