Venezuelan association appoints new president

The General Manager, Consumer Health division of Merck Group Venezuela, Rubén Salazar, has been appointed President of the Venezuelan Association of Advertisers (ANDA). He replaces Darius De la Vega, who has held the presidency of the association for two consecutive terms.

Rubén Salazar has been working for 23 years in the pharmaceutical industry in both Latin America and the United States. In addition, he has served for two terms as President of the Chamber of OTC medicines, CAMESIP.

"This appointment comes with a great responsibility towards the association's 60-year-old heritage, its values and role in the industry. Together with the new General Manager, Ana Paula De Sousa, and our new board of directors, I am confident we can steer the association on a successful path," said Rubén Salazar.
