Sweden: 'A' for the win

The visual identity of the Association of Swedish Advertisers has been shortlisted in the "Graphic Identity" category of the Swedish Design Award, an annual competition which looks to recognise best practice in graphic communication. 19 other entries have been shortlisted in the same category and the winner will be announced on 8 October in an awards ceremony in Gothenburg.
The visual identity developed for the Swedish association builds on the idea of strength %u2013 the association is strong precisely because advertisers are acting together. To communicate this, the designers created a pattern based on the letter 'A' (see pictures above), in red and, inverted, in white.
