Nigerian association holds first marketing conference

On 13 May, the Advertisers' Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) organised the first edition of the ADVAN Marketers Conference, with the theme "Connecting Brand Builders".
The one-day conference featured keynote speeches and panel discussions on priority marketing topics such as consumer confidence trends and consumer engagement, as well as highlights from the WFA's Global Marketer Conference 2016 in Kuala Lumpur.

In his welcome speech, David Okeme, President of ADVAN, said that the conference was in line with the association's tradition of keeping strategic marketing issues on the front burner of businesses in Nigeria. He promised that more ADVAN programmes will be offered this year for the purpose of "aggregating all shades of thought, ideas and suggestions" that will place the relevance of marketing at the heart of strategic business discussions in Nigeria.
