Belgium rewards marketing ideas that work

In June, the Belgian Advertisers Association (UBA) celebrated "ideas that work" at the annual Belgium Effie Awards in Brussels.
The big winners were Belgian telecom company Telenet and agency TBWA, who bagged the Gold Effie for their campaign "Tip Top Tour". Other winners were WWF Belgium and agency Famous for "Save Endangered Families with a Dying Family", Medialaan and agency Flexus for "Red Nose Day", and Sunweb and agency LDV United for "Zondedju". A total of 35 cases were submitted and reviewed by the selection committee. Prior to the awards ceremony, a forum on Effie effectiveness was held.
The Effie Awards aims to educate and inform marketers worldwide about effective marketing campaigns and strategies. It has been organised in Belgium since 1987.
