The Pakistan Advertisers Society (PAS) recently commissioned a creative brief toolkit designed to help marketers with the process of creating a good brief for their agencies.

Entitled "As Brief As You Can Be", the toolkit was written by Arshy Ahmad, CEO and founder of local brand consultancy Flying Hedgehogs, with contributions from PAS members. It also referenced existing industry guides such as the 2010 Best Practice Toolkit on agency briefing created by the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers (ISBA).

"Being succinct, crisp, precise and articulate is the most important part of brief writing" is the PAS toolkit's key takeaway. Designed to be simple, interactive and fun, the toolkit features "brief buddies", a cartoon brand manager, account manager and creative director, that help showcase real-life challenges and issues that arise between clients and agencies in an "exaggerated" and humorous manner.

You can download the toolkit here.
