Paraguay awards country's best brands

On 4 August, the Paraguay Advertisers Chamber (CAP) held the second edition of its annual awards ceremony recognising Paraguayan brands that stood out in terms of consumer use, recollection and preference over the past year.
Unlike last year's awards, CAP asked consumers to adjudicate rather than an industry jury. The winners in over 50 brand categories were determined through a consumer survey conducted by local consulting firm Metro Market Research.
"This award reflects what we as advertisers have accomplished in terms of media investment, working with consumers and brand performance as a whole. It shows us if we are doing things right or wrong", said Carlos Jorge Biedermann, President of CAP, during the awards ceremony.
Some of this year's winners were Coca-Cola in the soft drinks category, Nestlé in confectionary and Nike in sportswear.
