The Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA) has named Greg Garden as their new CEO. He takes over from Lovemore Mushayanyama who held the post for four years.
Before MASA, Garden held several senior leadership roles at the South African bank Nedbank, including Group Executive for Marketing Capability, Head of Marketing and Chief Brand Officer. He has also worked on the agency side for nine years and was Head of Group Communications at IBM South Africa. Garden also served as a MASA Board member for several years.
With Garden's recent appointment, MASA hopes to strengthen the association's stance as being a representative voice for the South African marketing industry, as well as grow membership. The association will continue to promote self-regulation, credible consumer research and responsible industry practices and standards.
