The Japan Advertisers Association (JAA) has established a new Digital Media committee to address the growing importance of digital media to its members and the advertising ecosystem.
The new committee is part of the mandates laid out by Masatoshi Ito, Chairman of the Board at Ajinomoto Co., Inc., during his inauguration as JAA's new President in March. The committee will tackle digital-related issues affecting Japanese advertisers including measurement, transparency and viewability and will collaborate with JAA's existing online advertising working group and other organisations to explore current advertising models and expertise in the digital domain.
Makoto Koide, General Manager of the Strategic Communication Department at Shiseido Japan, has been appointed first Chairperson of the committee. He is joined by Yukiko Yamaguchi, Manager of Digital Content Marketing & Service at IBM Japan, as Vice Chair.
