UBA Belgium has named Luc Suykens as CEO, effective from April 1. He takes over from Chris Van Roey who led the association for over 13 years and was an active member of WFA’s Executive Committee for several years.

Luc was Brand Vice-President for Belgium, France and the Netherlands at Procter & Gamble for 18 years, and held various brand and marketing roles in the company for more than 30 years. Prior to his new role, he served as UBA’s Vice-Chairman. He was also elected into WFA's Executive Committee in April.

“As a brand builder at P&G I have witnessed how UBA, under the leadership of Chris Van Roey, has greatly increased member value, both in terms of depth and breadth. I look forward to continuing to work on this and addressing the big challenges of brand building together with the strong team that Chris has built. Brands can make an important contribution to a sustainable and inclusive society through innovation and communication”, Luc said.
