In order to address diversity, equity and inclusion in marketing it is fundamental to address it from every single aspect of the industry. It is not enough to focus on recruitment or representation, and other aspects such as brand safety need to be taken into count.
The guide developed by EACA gives a list of recommendations regarding four issues: How to exclude unsuitable and unsafe content, what to do instead, how to communicate and how to target and include diverse and inclusive content. The guide seeks to encourage European agencies to raise awareness of this problem and to change their practices.
