WFA's annual flagship event will take place in April in London
The UK capital has been announced as the venue for next year’s Global Marketer Week. The event will be held in partnership with ISBA, the oldest advertiser association in the WFA’s 60-strong global network of national advertiser associations.
Global Marketer Week 2027 will take place in April and will follow its traditional format, with WFA leadership meetings on Tuesday, peer-to-peer forums on Wednesday (CMO, Media, Insights, Sourcing and Policy), the flagship Global Marketer Conference on Thursday and the National Advertiser Associations Council on Friday.
All events will be open to WFA members, with the Global Marketer Conference open to ISBA members as well as non-members. Around 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the week.
It’s the first time since 2005 that the event will be held in the UK.
“We’re delighted to be heading to London next year. Given it is one of the most renowned hubs for marketing excellence globally and home to some of the world’s most iconic brands, we expect a very special event marked by the very latest thinking about what makes for better marketing,” said Stephan Loerke, CEO of WFA.
“Global Marketer Week is one of the “must attend” international events in the marketing calendar and we are thrilled to be working in partnership with the WFA to bring this event to the UK for the first time in 21 years. Over the week there will be opportunities to network with international peers, hear from cutting edge practitioners and gain essential insights from experts from around the world. With this incredible summit open to the entire UK marketing community as well as international delegates, we aim to make GMW 2027 the largest celebration of marketing that the UK has ever seen,” said Simon Michaelides, Director General of ISBA.
WFA has also announced it is planning to take Global Marketer Week to Dubai in 2028, in partnership with the Advertising Business Group (ABG), which covers both the UAE and the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The plan had been to hold this year’s Global Marketer Week in the city but the war in the region meant it was moved to Stockholm.
