The Asociación de Anunciantes de Guatemala (AAG) will host the LATAM regional meeting 2026 in Guatemala City on 13–15 October. It is the first time the meeting has been held in Central America. The associations from Costa Rica and El Salvador are supporting the event, which also brings together representatives of national advertiser associations from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Peru.

The programme covers marketing transformation, marketing effectiveness, AI and the power of creativity. Speakers include Daniel Silber, CMO Beverages Central America & Caribbean, PepsiCo, on marketing effectiveness, and Michel Caputi and Fernando Silva Castillo of Banco Industrial on speaking the language of the CEO.

AI features in two sessions: one on efficiency and responsible advertising, and one on regulation and risk mitigation with Sibylle Stanciu, Director, ICAS, and Juliana Nakata Albuquerque, CONAR (Brazil). Other sessions cover the marketing of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, sustainability and media transparency.

Stephan Loerke, CEO, WFA, said, “Our Latin American network is one of the most vibrant parts of the WFA community, and it's very exciting to be coming to a new host city and celebrating better marketing across the region, especially in Central America. The work we see coming out of this region is often a model for the very best in the world."
