As Category Leader in Media & MarTech Category you will be working closely with the full team, including other Category Leaders, spread in China, UK & US as well as global and local stakeholders and strategic suppliers.

For this Category Leader role, we are seeking a Category Leader to be responsible for driving Strategic SRM programs with our strategic suppliers. This means managing the existing Supplier Relationship Management programme, areas of e.g. performance evaluations, Sustainability / Carbon emission reduction roadmaps, and supplier development, but also explore new areas of Supplier Relationship Management including any AI-potentials that can bring business value.

With this said, we foresee you are someone who excels in international business, delivering results with a strong entrepreneurial drive and fact-based decision-making. You understand cost drivers and lead with a holistic view, considering customers, suppliers, IKEA, and sustainability. Your communication skills and ability to build trust with stakeholders are key assets and, last but not least, you embody IKEA values and create an environment where they thrive.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Additionally to this, we believe you have:

- You bring many years of experience in the Media industry, such as media agency, media industry, or global media procurement.
- Very good understanding of marketing technology landscape and how AI can play a role to drive effectiveness and efficiency
- Documented experience in global media sourcing and procurement practices and related processes and / or good knowledge of the industry and market-specific conditions
- Senior supplier management and supplier development skills
- Good knowledge of cost drivers and the value chain of Media, especially the digital ecosystem.
- A university degree in Business Administration or a corresponding.
- Fluency in English, spoken and written.
- Possibility to travel
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Supplier Relationship Management of Strategic suppliers including supplier performance evaluation & innovation, sustainability agenda as well as analyzing & managing the total cost of ownership.
- Drive business performance and results by building and maintaining trustful relationships with key business owners and stakeholders, acting as a valued business partner
- Lead the development of Category Plans and relevant action plans, through aligning business needs and strategies with opportunities on the market, creating customer value and lowering unnecessary costs
- Secure implementation and execution of Category Plans and action plans on a global basis.
- Identify new business opportunities that creates value to the business
- Driving Performance measurement agenda for Category Area Marketing
- Accountable for continuous monitoring of the supplier market, to create conditions to find new optimization and cost reduction potentials.
- Ensure added value and relevant solutions to meet customers' needs.
- Secure compliance of IWAY and the Code of Conduct by the supplier base.
