Senior Insights Manager Jupiler, Hertog Jan & Becks

Primary Purpose Of Role

The Senior Insights Manager Jupiler, Hertog Jan & Becks is responsible for giving strategic recommendations regarding brand & portfolio strategy, Brand positioning & Jobs To Be Done, Brand Equity, brand activations and innovations. Focus brands for this role are our local jewel brands Jupiler, Hertog Jan and Becks this across our 4 main European markets (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Italy). The Senior Insights & Strategy Manager represents the voice of our consumers and is responsible for driving a consumer led insights agenda to lead and grow our brands and the category.

The role :

  • Be a strategic business partner for our marketing & BU teams, give strategic recommendations on how to build a strong portfolio with Powerful and Meaningful brands, focusing on future growth recommendations for portfolio and brands as part of our 10YP/1YP
  • Give recommendations on how to translate the brand positioning into concrete activations that strenghten the brand equity. Lead insights projects and translating insights into concrete actions on how to optimize brand activations plans and creatives
  • Partner with our innovation team to build a consumer led innovation pipeline (10YP) and lead consumers insights projects (1YP) to develop and launch consumer led innovations in the market
  • Develop a consumer focused learning agenda based on the BU business needs, focusing on forward looking portfolio and brand strategies. Lead strategic projects to identify consumer and category trends, competitors and opportunities for brand improvement. Deliver strategic recommendations by connecting different data sources (1st and 3rd party data) to drive insights into action
  • Proactively seek innovative methods that will shape the future ways of working of strategy, insights and innovation development
  • Accelerate the use and implementation of A.I. driven strategy & insights tools
  • Network and proactively identify new diverse talent to bring into Strategy and Insights team to build a talented team
  • Participate in recruitment events, support with GMT project assignments, support/manage interns etc
  • Take full advantage of Marketing Academy training to develop your Marketing skills and apply them in your day to day
  • Influencing stakeholder at different levels, building and maintaining collaborative cross-functional relationships across the BU’s. Managing complexities in decision making
  • Manage the insights budget effectively, optimizing resources to achieve maximum impact

What we are looking for :

  • Preferably Master / University degree in business oriented applied sciences (marketing, business, finance, analytics …)
  • At least 5 years of relevant marketing or commercial experience in a leading FMCG company or renowned agency (research, creative..)
  • Proven experience and clear demonstration of strategic thinking
  • Multi-disciplinary project management capabilities
  • Presentation skills to senior management and stakeholders
  • Marrying analytical skills with strong storytelling abilities
  • Proven in depth knowledge of our business or clear aptitude to understand it – with a comprehensive understanding of the customer, consumer, brand agenda
  • Result oriented with respect for quality, costs, timing
  • Advanced level knowledge of software programs Excel, PowerPoint…
  • Fluent English; written & spoken is mandatory. French or Dutch is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, ability to be compelling in a short and concise way
  • Strong interpersonal leadership qualities to build relationships and teams, lead cross functional initiatives, engage senior stakeholders and proven ability to persuade, bring unsolicited advice and influence to achieve outstanding results
  • Team-oriented collaboration, ownership understanding and high motivation to address challenges as opportunities
  • Clear demonstration of thinking and acting as owner; Critical thinking, ability to challenge and focus / prioritize
  • Pragmatic and agile problem solver, not overcomplicating matters
  • Speed, flexibility, sense of urgency; ability to react to demands and stick to deadlines
  • Deal with ambiguity, able to operate inside a highly non-routine environment
