The Brazilian Association of Advertisers (ABA) appointed Juliana Nunes, VP Corporate Affairs, Sustainability, HR and Compliance at Brasil Kirin, as their first-ever female president. She takes over from João Campos, President of PepsiCo Foods Brazil.

With a degree in food engineering, Juliana Nunes worked at Unilever for 20 years in various areas such as food development, logistics, corporate affairs and sustainability. At Brasil Kirin, the second largest Brazilian brewery and beverage company, she oversees external relations, corporate communications and regulatory affairs, among others. An ABA Board and Council member, she chaired the Government Relations Committee before being appointed president.

"I am starting my term with a challenge: to preserve the excellence of the previous administration in both governance and innovation," said Juliana Nunes.

In the last two years, the ABA has undergone a number of changes with the aim of making the association an "agent of transformation" and positioning marketing as an agent of change within companies. Among these changes are the new dynamics at play in the different committees, the creation of the Leaders Group, the introduction of new communication channels, and a new administrative headquarters.
