In December, the Belgian Advertisers Association (UBA) organised their annual Christmas Lunch attended by over 1,400 professionals from Belgium's advertising and communications sector.
At the event, UBA and local marketing magazine PUB ("People Unified around Brands") named Miguel Aguza, External Communication Manager at IKEA Belgium, as Advertiser Personality of the Year (APOY) for 2016. Previous winners include Yves De Voeght, Media Manager at Coca-Cola BeLux, and Saskia Schatteman, former CMO at Microsoft BeLux.
Miguel started his marketing career on the agency side, before moving to the brand side as Advertising & Digital Manager at Renault BeLux. He has been with IKEA Belgium since 2014.
APOY was launched in 2002 to recognise Belgian advertisers who serve as industry role models through their professionalism and contribution to the industry.
