More than 1,200 professionals from the Slovenian ad industry attended this year's Slovenian Advertising Festival

The two-day event was a combination of lectures, roundtable discussions, workshops, evening events, and a diverse line-up of speakers from Slovenia and beyond. Some of the topics covered include artificial intelligence, the creative pitch and neuromarketing. SOF also highlighted the work of local agencies and creatives throughout the event programme.
One of the key insights from SOF was on the role of technology in creativity, where Harjot Singh, Strategic Director at McCann Europe, said "think of technology as salt. You want to feel it, not see it."
Winners of the SOF awards were celebrated during the closing ceremony. SOZ received a record 400 applications this year. Insurance company Zavarovalnica Triglav was named Advertiser of the Year, while Laško Brewery received the Brand of the Year award. Grey was proclaimed Agency of the Year and Advertising Person of the Year went to Pavel Vrabec, Director General at local media house Pro Plus.
Also, Gregor Vuk and Boštjan Laznik were chosen as the best young creatives of this year. They will be travelling to Cannes Lions 2017 as their prize.
