On 24 May, the Association of Turkish Advertisers (RVD) celebrated its 25th anniversary with a gala event at the Rahmi M. Koç Museum of transport, industry and communications in Istanbul. The celebration was attended by RVD members and some of Turkey’s leading industry figures.
RVD was founded in 1992 to advocate for the importance of advertising in Turkey and to protect the rights of advertisers. During the gala, RVD President Ahmet Pura addressed guests by saying “RVD is an organisation that was created by advertisers who believe in their shared responsibility of developing the industry beyond trade. Trust has always been a key word in our relationship with our stakeholders from both the private and public sector. These 25 years have been memorable. RVD will continue to stay true to its values."
For its 25th anniversary, RVD published the book “25 Years of Responsible Advertising” which compiles the association’s activities and contribution to transforming the country’s marketing industry. The book includes interviews with RVD’s past and current presidents and staff, as well as opinions from industry leaders.
Lastly, RVD honoured Didem Kayadelen who served as the association’s Managing Director for seven years before retiring on 31 May. She is succeeded by Süreyya Deniz.
