Hundreds of Peruvian marketers gathered for the 16th Annual Marketing Congress – CAMP 2017, organised by the Peruvian Association of Advertisers (ANDA Peru) on 22-23 June in Lima.

CAMP is a space for all stakeholders in marketing who want to better understand global trends, analyse and debate the future of the industry and explore cases of marketing success.

For Miguel Merino, Chairman of the Advisory Committee of CAMP 2017, the marketing strategy should reflect the opportunities identified in the business strategy. To achieve this, creating a balance between art and science in marketing is essential.

Under the theme “In search of a more profitable marketing”, CAMP 2017 explored this complex balance between art and science. The two-day event addressed several topics including the consumer journey, cultural branding, measuring and managing marketing investments, media effectiveness and the sharing economy.

The speaker line-up was composed of both local and international experts, including Douglas Holt, cultural branding expert and former Harvard and Oxford professor, James McQuivey, VP and Principal Analyst at Forrester, Jacquie Matthews, Global CEO at Ipsos UU, and Javier Benavides, Director of Marketing Operations at Procter & Gamble Peru.
