The Norwegian Association of Advertisers (ANFO) organised the 11th edition of their annual Great Day of Advertising (DSAD) in Oslo, one of the most important industry events for Norwegian marketers.

This year’s edition brought together over 400 marketers, agencies and media professionals for a day of knowledge exchange and networking.

“Marketoonist” Tom Fishburne kicked off DSAD with a talk on adopting  the right marketing mindset for the modern digital world.

ANFO presented the findings of their annual survey followed by a debate with top marketers from Telenor, Storebrand, Norwegian and Orkla. ANFO found that Norwegian marketers are most concerned about ad fraud, brand safety, viewability, third-party measurement and fake news.

One hot topic at this year’s DSAD was the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will come into force in May 2018. Catherine Armitage, Senior Manager Public Affairs, Digital Goverance Exchange at WFA, gave a presentation on how marketers will be impacted by the new data protection rules and walked attendees through the WFA GDPR Guide for Marketers.
