WFA has made eight new appointments to its global leadership team, including new additions to its Executive Committee of senior marketers from Just Eat, Pernod Ricard, Sanofi and TATA.
Susan O’Brian, CMO at Just Eat, Eric Benoist, Global Marketing & Commercial Director at Pernod Ricard, Paul Martingell, Senior Vice-President, Asia Region at Sanofi Pharma and Sushant Dash, President, India & Middle East at Tata Global Beverages are joined by John Broome, CEO of the Australian Advertiser Association (AANA) and Vittorio Meloni, Director General of the Italian Advertisers Association (UPA).
New roles have also been taken by David Porter, Vice-President, Global Media at Unilever, Asia, Africa and Middle East, who becomes WFA Regional Vice-President for Asia-Pacific and Bunmi Adeniba, President of the Nigerian Advertisers Association (ADVAN), who becomes Regional Vice-President for Africa.
Raja Rajamanner, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at MasterCard, and Phil Myers, Senior Vice-President, Global Public Policy and Government Affairs at PepsiCo, continue to serve as WFA President and Deputy President respectively, while Jean-Luc Chetrit, the CEO of Union des Marques (France), was reelected WFA Treasurer.
The WFA Executive Committee brings together senior marketers and public affairs executives to reflect the dual mission of the WFA: to help marketers be more effective and efficient in terms of their marketing spend while helping brand owners protect and future-proof their license to operate through advocacy and effective advertising self-regulation.
The 42-strong Executive also reflects the dual nature of the WFA membership. It includes representatives from multinational brand owners as well as heads of some of the world’s biggest national advertiser associations.
The appointments have been welcomed by Stephan Loerke, WFA CEO: “As an industry and as a society we are facing a huge challenge from the global spread of Coronavirus but despite these additional pressures facing our industry I am both grateful and delighted that so many senior business leaders are willing to offer their expertise and extensive experience to help guide the WFA agenda.”
The Executive Committee meets quarterly to determine the WFA’s priorities and guide the organisation’s strategy. The full list of Executive Committee members can be seen here.
