The Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) recently organised their first-ever hybrid Annual Marketers Convention, bringing together local, regional and international senior marketers, industry leaders and experts to share marketing insights and strategies.

Focused on the theme “Marketing 5.0: Reconfiguring Business in the New Normal”, the 12th edition was held in Nyanga and virtually. In-person attendance was limited to 50 people, based on the Zimbabwean government’s safety measures. MAZ enforced social distancing protocols and had attendees wear their masks where necessary.

Zimbabwe’s Industry and Commerce Minister Sekai Nzenza opened the MAZ conference and included speakers such as: Nyasha Mutsai, Group HR Director of CBZ Holdings, who spoke on team challenges, how to overcome them and what makes a great team; Marc Mekki, Co-founder of Spanish agency Bond, who shared on advanced marketing strategies; and Maxine Bolt, CEO of South African agency Famous Digital Media, who talked about leveraging digital media channels and social media for business growth.
