WFA’s Planet Pledge initiative aims to put marketers at the centre of the fight against climate change

The Hellenic Association of Advertisers (SDE) recently welcomed Danone, Mastercard, Pepsico and Unilever into the local Planet Pledge chapter. Planet Pledge is the WFA’s initiative focused on making marketing part of the solution in the fight against the climate crisis.
“The climate emergency, and therefore Planet Pledge, are global by nature – yet success will only be realised through the creation of national movements and action. We’re delighted to see SDE in Greece play such a leadership role on the climate agenda.” Said Stephan Loerke, WFA CEO.
By signing to the Planet Pledge, companies commit to being part to the global Race to Zero campaign, to scalethe capability of marketing organisations to lead climate action, to harnessthe power of their marketing communications to drive more sustainable consumer behaviours and to reinforcea trustworthy marketing environment where sustainability claims can be easily substantiated.
