Understanding global rules on AI transparency in advertising

Governments are taking different approaches to regulating AI, creating an uneven landscape with a mix of hard and soft legal approaches.

WFA has developed the Global AI Transparency Map, a heatmap to enable WFA members to get a handle on the global picture.

The heatmap explains the implications of the EU AI Act, the most far-reaching effort so far with stringent transparency obligations, as well as exploring what’s happening in China and the UK. The USA presents a more fragmented landscape, with different rules at both a federal and state level.
