New leadership in Kenya, Malaysia and Paraguay

The Institute of Marketing in Malawi (IMM) becomes the latest national marketing body to join WFA.
IMM's membership takes the national advertiser association community within WFA to 58, connecting marketers in markets from Accra to Zurich under a shared agenda of more effective, sustainable and ethical marketing communications.
Overall, WFA counts over 150 brand owners and national associations in more than 60 countries in its membership, underlining the scale and reach of the network, with seven national advertiser associations in Africa.
The continent has the world’s fastest‑growing working‑age population, by linking local bodies such as IMM to WFA’s global peer learning platforms, African associations can help shape the future of marketing globally and provide key lessons to WFA's global community.
George Damson, President of the Institute of Marketing in Malawi, said:
"We are honoured to join the WFA network, marking a significant milestone for the Institute of Marketing in Malawi and the broader marketing profession in our country. This partnership opens valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, global collaboration, and the advancement of sustainable, ethical, and innovative marketing practices. We look forward to contributing Malawi’s unique perspective to the global marketing community while empowering our members through world‑class insights and standards."
WFA CEO Stephan Loerke said:
"What makes WFA truly global is the national industry associations in our network who champion and defend marketers’ interests locally. We warmly welcome the Institute of Marketing in Malawi into WFA and look forward to working closely with them in promoting more effective and sustainable marketing."

WFA’s national association landscape is evolving in other regions through leadership changes.
In Kenya, Samwel Ombogo is the new CEO of the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK). He succeeds Geofrey Lidonga, who served as Acting CEO during the transition period. Samwel brings over 10 years of experience in marketing and finance. His appointment marks a new chapter for MSK as it seeks to strengthen governance, drive innovation and position the marketing profession at the core of business growth in Kenya.
Meanwhile in Malaysia, the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA) has renewed its leadership, with Hassan Alsagoff (Regional Head of Loyalty & PMTO at Grab) now serving as President for 2026–2028.
In Paraguay, Gustavo Egüez (Director of Business & Operations at TEISA) has been elected President of the Cámara de Anunciantes del Paraguay (CAP) for the 2026–2028 term.
