CMOs from Dole and Nestlé and President of Nigerian Association bolster leadership team as new regional Vice-Presidents

New appointments include senior marketing and policy executives from Bank of Africa, Danone, Ferrero, Grab, L’Oréal and Mars

WFA has announced its new leadership team, with a raft of new appointments from leading global brands and national advertiser associations.

Effective from April 5th, there will be new regional Vice-Presidents for Europe, Africa and Asia, who join existing representatives for the Middle East, Latin America and North America to provide regional insight and support to the organisation.

Rupen Desai, Global CMO, Dole Sunshine Company, becomes regional VP for Asia, Aude Gandon, SVP, Global Chief Marketing and Digital Officer, Nestlé, is named regional VP for Europe and Osamede Uwubanmwen, President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), becomes regional VP for Africa.

Mastercard’s Rajamannar continues as President having been re-elected for another two-year term in 2021, while Unilever’s Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, Conny Braams, remains Deputy President having taken up the post in December 2021.

Alongside the new VPs a series of senior executives from Bank of Africa, Danone, Ferrero, Grab, L’Oréal and Mars. The new corporate members are:

    • Mounir Jazouli, Communication, Media & Digital Director, Bank of Africa
    • Catherine Lautier, Global Head of Media, Danone
    • Francesco Tramontin, Vice President EU Institutional Relations and Group Public Policy Center, Ferrero
    • Cheryl Goh, Group VP of Marketing and Sustainability, Grab
    • Asmita Dubey, Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, L’Oréal
    • Anders Bering, Vice-President Global Public Affairs & External Communications, Mars

 Henriette van Swinderen, Managing Director of BvA, the national advertiser association for The Netherlands, also joins the leadership team.
