DSA/DMA Task Force - About

WFA’s DSA/DMA task force brings together policy leads within WFA membership to discuss, plan and develop advocacy and outreach on the EU Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act

, , ,

In December 2020, the European Commission published the Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act legislative proposals as part of the Commission’s strategy on digital and data. These two legislative proposals introduce new rules for online platforms and measures to increase transparency and accountability online. Some of the measures proposed could go some way toward preventing advertisers from inadvertently funding illegal and harmful content and help create more diversity and transparency in EU digital advertising markets.

The purpose of the DSA/DMA Task Force is to discuss latest developments, coordinate ongoing advocacy efforts and agree on next steps. This meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss WFA’s position on proposals for the regulation of targeted advertising and assess amendments proposed by MEPs in the European Parliament.

For everything we know so far about the DSA and how it could impact advertisers, please see our DSA one pager.

This meeting is open to WFA members only.
