WFA meeting: TikTok’s approach to privacy & personalised advertising - About

TikTok, owned by ByteDance, has become one of the most popular social media platforms in the world, particularly amongst younger users. However, in June, TikTok faced significant scrutiny over its announcement that the platform would be moving from using consent for personalised advertising to ‘legitimate interest’.
Although TikTok have since decided to postpone this move, the meeting will be an opportunity for WFA members to hear their perspectives, and to raise any concerns or questions they have.
