In early March, the Spanish Association of Advertisers (AEA) organised the first meeting of its newly-formed "Advertising Industry Committee", with the aim to provide a platform for leading organisations in the Spanish marketing sector to work together and improve credibility, security, efficiency and transparency in the industry in general and in particular on online advertising practices.



The meeting was attended by the Association of Media Agencies (AM), the Association of Communication Agencies (AEACP), the Association for Media Research (AIMC), the Association for Self-Regulation of Commercial Communication (Autocontrol), the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and the Office of Justification for Dissemination (OJD). The meeting served to outline the action plan for defining standards of measurement, creating codes and best practice agreements, establishing controls and making short and long-term commitments.
