In June, the Association of Swiss Advertisers (SWA) in collaboration with the Leading Swiss Agencies (LSA) launched a price/performance index for media investments, a first in Switzerland.
Like in many other countries, in Switzerland investments in media account for the biggest share in most marketing budgets, with more than five billion Swiss Francs (circa EUR 4.5 billion) in media ad spending each year.
The Media Price/Performance Index aims to better monitor market price developments for different media, target groups and regions and ensure greater transparency in the market. It is also intended to provide brand owners, agencies and media owners with a useful tool that has up-to-date data and insights on media prices and services in the country.
SWA plans to update and publish results of the index at regular intervals.
