The Association of New Zealand Advertisers (ANZA), in collaboration with the Commercial Communications Council, launched a best practice guide to help marketers navigate the complexities of the agency selection process and to help improve business outcomes for both clients and agencies.
"The risks of choosing the wrong service model or not securing the right partner can be very costly. ANZA encourages advertisers to use this guide whenever they are reviewing agency partners or considering a selection process”, said ANZA CEO Lindsay Mouat.

Tailored to the New Zealand market, the guide covers all types of agencies from creative and media to experiential, digital, PR and others. It also provides a set of operating principles for managing a business review along with useful information on what's happening in the market, different marketing services and partnership models available to marketers and tips on agency remuneration.

The guide’s contents are based on a series of interviews with senior New Zealand marketers and heads of different types of communication agencies, as well as the best practice guide on client-agency relations and the pitch process by the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and the European Association of Communication Agencies (EACA).
