Zimbabwe unveils the country’s ‘superbrands’
MAZ recognises the country’s top 200 brands

In May, the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) announced Zimbabwe’s top 200 brands in 2018 at the association’s annual Superbrand event.
During the unveiling, guest speaker Antonio Diogo, Regional Sales Manager for Southern Africa & Portuguese Markets at DStv Media Sales, offered actionable insight and practical tools to build innovative brands.
Superbrand is an international concept that was introduced in Zimbabwe by MAZ in 2009. It is meant to promote the discipline of branding in the country and it seeks to recognise and reward the best performing brands in the country in a given year.
This year, the first ten positions were occupied by: Afdis, African Sun, Africom, Alpha Omega, Amarula, Astra Paints, Avis, Bakers Inn, Banc ABC and Barclays Bank. The full top 200 list is available here.
