The Association of National Advertisers (ANA) has released a new version of its media agency contract template for advertisers. The contract template was first issued in July 2016 in conjunction with the ANA’s report on media transparency and the investigation of media rebates in the US.
The new contract template includes new provisions and revised definitions intended to increase transparency between clients and agencies. It also includes language designed to reflect best practice on a global level so advertisers outside the US can, with some local modifications, include it in their contracts.
“While significant progress has been made in bringing more transparency to the relationships between advertisers and media buying agencies, much more is needed. The new contract template is more comprehensive than the original and contains updates that address the current marketplace. We urge all advertisers to review the changes and incorporate them into their current media agency contracts, where applicable,” said ANA CEO Bob Liodice.
Other changes to the contract template can be found here.
