The Association of National Advertisers (ANA) held their annual ANA International ECHO Awards show in Orlando in early March. Founded in 1929, the awards recognise brilliant executions of data-driven marketing.
ANA presented the Diamond ECHO Award to Argentine health NGO Fundación Huésped and agency Wunderman BA for their ‘HIV on the agenda’ campaign. During the Buenos Aires G20 Summit in 2019, Fundación Huésped pressured world leaders to put the HIV issue on the agenda and created an installation outside the venue with the countries’ flags rising and falling to show the HIV rates of the respective nations in real-time.
This competition attracted over 400 entries from 22 different countries around the world. More than 400 marketing executives representing 23 countries served as judges for the competition. The full list of winners can be accessed here.
