Italian association elects Lorenzo Sassoli de Bianchi as president
UPA reaffirms its commitment to greater transparency and efficiency in the ad industry

The Italian Advertisers’ Association (UPA) has re-elected Lorenzo Sassoli de Bianchi, Founder and President of Valsoia, an Italian healthy food company, as president of the association for the next three years. He has held this post since 2007.
Under Lorenzo’s leadership, UPA has launched several initiatives in recent years aimed at greater transparency and efficiency in ad industry. Among these are: Nessie - an innovative project for big data management in marketing communications; a new initiative to create a blockchain architecture to help improve efficiency in digital advertising; a White Paper on Digital Communication; the Digital Chart created together IAP (Italian Advertising Self-Regulation Institute); and guidelines for creative and media pitches.
Aside from establishing Valsoia, Lorenzo also founded the Institute of Contemporary Arts in Milan and has authored numerous publications on modern and contemporary art.
